About Erica Skynn

Erica Skynn, is a Los Angeles native with a passion for all things skincare. Though she may appear small, standing at 4'11, she is making big waves in an industry that often overlooks Black and Brown consumers. She is the developer and founder of Derm7, a product line formulated for people with melanated skin (darker skin tones). Erica is a melanated skin care expert that is internationally known for achieving outstanding results and dramatic transformations for her

clients who seek out her expertise to help them with skin disorders (acne, scars, psoriasis) or that simply want beautiful glowing skin.


Erica’s clientele include celebrities and executives from around the world. Erica’s products and holistic approach to healing extreme skin conditions has resulted in testimonials about real life results that have been transformational for her clients both physical and psychological transformations.

Erica was inspired to find a solution to skin conditions following her late mother, who was Native American & Indian and mother in-law, who was African American both were left with troubling skin conditions following bouts with cancer and cancer treatments. Erica quickly recognized the absence of quality products to treat skin concerns and scarring for people of color. Erica made it her mission to formulate products for people with darker skin tones, she spent a number of years formulating and rolling out clinical trials to come up with evidence-based solutions that treat problematic skin conditions for darker skin tones. The full Derm7 line includes five different categories to address various skin conditions and concerns such as acne, scarring, melasma, blemish bleaching and anti-aging.


In 2013, Erica opened The Long Beach Medi-Spa where she spent several years conducting clinical trials to perfect her formulations that have become the award winning Derm7 product line. In 2014 Erica received a scholarship to Dermalogica’s International Dermal Institute and it was there that she became inspired and saw an opportunity to fill a gap that addressed the absence of effective skin care products for people with darker skin tones that experienced serious skin conditions, like her mother and mother-in-law. More recently, Erica was acknowledged at the 2021 Daytime Beauty Awards, where she received the 2021 Innovation Award for her Derm 7 product line. Erica has a long list of celebrity and executive clientele that includes Floyd Mayweather Jr. who is to this day a major supporter of her brand, Ryan Destiny, Toni and Tamar Braxton, Clermont Twins, Murda Beatz, Keyshia Cole, Jennifer Lopez, and the members of the Lakers and Sparks to name a few.
